Osita Iheme (Paw Paw) lands N11.2m endorsement deal

Nollywood actor Osita Iheme is the new face of an entertainment TV in South Africa called VUZU TV.

Paw Paw as he is fondly called happens to be big in South Africa and we've been told the endorsement deal is worth $70, 000 (N11.2m).

The deal will initially run for six months.

The actor was recently in South Africa to finalize the contract and shoot campaign commercials.

Justin Bieber Sued

Justin Bieber is being sued for allegedly purchasing penis enlargement (!!!) equipment with a stolen American Express credit card. He is also accused of cheating on Selena Gomez with not only actress Penelope Cruz, but fellow pop divas Kesha and Rihanna.

But wait. It gets better… or worse, if you’re the ‘As Long as You Love Me’ singer.

Justin Bieber is being sued in the state of Michigan by a man who claims he is Gomez’s father. The lawsuit makes some of the most ridiculous claims, to quote Taylor Swift, like ever. It’s clearly a lark or some yahoo trying to get a laugh via the legal system.

The person suing Bieber is steaming mad over the fact that “Bieber has cost me $426.78 and never paid me back. This money was used as abortion money because Justin Bieber got my daughter Selena pregnant in my bedroom, on my Canadian bear rug.”

Impregnated on a Canadian bearskin rug?

The suit is also taking aim at Biebs’ mentor Usher, whom the plaintiff claims came to his house on July 4 of this year and put a firework where the sun doesn’t shine, all the while blasting the Katy Perry song of the same name! Quite the visual, huh?

The Biebs is also accused of stealing his credit card and buying cocaine to distribute in drug-free school zones, with Diddy as his drug lieutenant.

The suit does make one claim that seems real. The plaintiff says, “I am an emotional mess.” Well, that’s evident. He also asks “America to boycott Bieber’s music,” which the haters may salute him for. Oh Biebs, the price of fame. Hopefully you got a laugh out of this. Penis enlargement? Canadian bear rugs?

We can’t even believe that someone other than a huckster launched this suit. What a waste of a civil servant’s time to have to process this.

Hudson, Spears, LL Cool J honor Whitney Houston

Jennifer Hudson embodied the look of one of her idols, Whitney Houston, during a tribute to the late singer put on by Grammy organizers.

Rocking a pompadour and glittery jacket reminiscent of Houston's stage costumes from the 1980s, Hudson belted out a medley of Houston's hits Thursday at the Nokia Theatre for "We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston," which will air as a TV special next month.

"She has been a huge part of my life musically," Hudson said. "She's just been like this outline, this blueprint for myself."

Britney Spears, LL Cool J, Halle Berry, Taraji P. Henson, Usher, CeCe Winans and Yolanda Adams also participated in the musical tribute.

Spears said she's always been "a huge fan" of Houston's.

"I think she's amazing," Spears said. "And I think that her voice is better than God. I just, I love her."

Houston died at 48 the night before the Grammy Awards in February from accidental drowning complicated by drug use and heart disease. LL Cool J honored her at the awards ceremony in February but said Thursday that the singer's musical contributions merit more.

"The time that we spent remembering Whitney at the Grammys wasn't really enough for her career," he said. "Even though it was wonderful, and I got to say the prayer, and I got to address her death, her career was larger than just a few segments. You need a whole show to celebrate a career like Whitney Houston's."

T.D. Jakes, a minister and producer of Houston's final film, "Sparkle," said Houston's early death can serve as a sad cautionary tale.

"Our message and our heart's cry to young people to really govern the choices that they make, and that those choices have consequences, long term consequences," he said. "It is not enough to be talented. We must also be wise."

Rihanna and Nicki Minaj Lead Nomination list

Rihanna and Nicki Minaj lead the way with four nominations each for the fan-voted award show, while One Direction and Justin Bieber follow right behind with three apiece.

Rihanna and Bieber are among the five nominees for Artist of the Year, along with Drake, Maroon 5 and Katy Perry. For Favourite Pop/Rock Album, Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ competes against Bieber’s ‘Believe,’ One Direction’s ‘Up All Night,’ and Maroon 5′s ‘Overexposed.’ This year also features a new Favorite EDM Artist category that pits Skrillex against David Guetta and Calvin Harris.

The American Music Awards are entirely fan-voted, so which army of diehard supporters can provide the most online clicks will determine which artist goes home as the big winner. Last year, Taylor Swift scored the biggest haul with three victories, including Artist of the Year.

The 2012 AMAs air live from Los Angeles on ABC Nov. 18. Get yourself over to the official show website to cast your votes now.
